Vietnam works to maintain edge in key agricultural market
Hanoi, Aug. 10 -- China remained Vietnam's leading agricultural export market in the first seven months of 2026, accounting for 21.9% of total export value and posting a year-on-year rise of 24.4%. To maintain its competitive edge amid changing market conditions, Vietnamese agricultural sectors need to improve product quality, traceability and supply chain organisation, experts said. According to Le Hang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), China and Hong Kong (China) remained bright spots for Vietnam's aquatic exports in July, with revenue exceeding 267 million USD, up 24.7% year-on-year.
