Paris, July 7 -- Vietnam's successful demographic transition - with its population surpassing 100 million, steadily rising life expectancy and a relatively balanced fertility rate - has laid a solid foundation for the country to capitalise on its human resources and sustain socio-economic development in the decades ahead, according to French demographers.
