Paris, March 26 -- Vietnam is among the countries that have achieved impressive results in reducing the proportion of out-of-school children by at least 80% since 2000, according to the 2026 Global Education Monitoring Report released by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) on March 25.

The report also noted that since 2000, the number of students worldwide has increased by 327 million, reaching 1.4 billion in 2024. On average, more than 25 additional children have been able to attend school every minute.
