Bangkok, March 10 -- Thai authorities have recently intensified their crackdown on illegal immigration, arresting 42 foreigners who paid tens of thousands of THB to illegally enter the country in search of work.
The crackdown on illegal immigration was conducted under the direction of Governor of Kanchanaburi province Warittha Sanguansermsri and Commander of the Kanchanaburi provincial Police Maj. Gen. Phosawi Rueangphu.
A working group from the Lad Ya Task Force closely monitored and prevented the illegal entry of Myanmar workers through the Nam Koek joint checkpoint in Sangkhlaburi district, Kanchanaburi province.
