Singapore to prioritise AI adoption, cross-border data flows as 2027 ASEAN Chair
Singapore, June 18 -- Singapore would build on efforts by the Philippines - the current ASEAN Chair, to encourage greater AI adoption among micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Singaporean Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo stated at the Asia Economic Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia, on June 17. She said expanding the adoption of AI across the Southeast Asian business community will be one of Singapore's top priorities when it assumes the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027.
