Singapore, March 17 -- About 36,000 teachers and allied educators in Singapore will receive salary increases of between 2% and 9% from October 1, as part of efforts to keep pay competitive and attract and retain quality educators, the Ministry of Education Singapore (MOE) has announced.

The pay adjustment will apply to around 33,000 education officers, 1,700 allied educators, and 1,100 kindergarten teachers under MOE.

The ministry said salary revisions for each grade are determined based on the gap between current pay levels and market benchmarks. Positions with larger gaps will see more significant adjustments.
