New billion-dollar export contenders emerge in Vietnam's agricultural industry
Hanoi, July 31 -- Following durian's export boom, a new generation of Vietnamese agricultural products, from pepper and lobster to banana and coconut, is emerging as strong contenders for billion-dollar export status, supported by robust demand, expanding markets and greater investment in value-added processing.
Vietnam's agricultural exports reached 36 billion USD in the first half of 2026, up 6% year-on-year.
