Vientiane, July 3 -- Laos and Myanmar have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across a wide range of fields during the state visit to Laos by Myanmar President Min Aung Hlaing from July 3 to 5.

The visit, made at the invitation of Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith, aims to mark the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries (July 12, 1955-2025) and further deepen their traditional friendship and close neighbourly cooperation.

Following the official welcome ceremony, the two Presidents held talks to review bilateral ties and discuss directions for future cooperation.
