Indonesia rolls out three strategies to achieve nationwide electrification by 2029
Jakarta, July 7 -- The Indonesian Government has formulated three primary strategies to expand electricity access across remote villages, in a bid to push the national electrification ratio toward 100% by 2029. To realise this goal, Indonesia will implement three complementary approaches, according to head of the Government Communications Agency Muhammad Qodari. The first is to expand the national electricity grid by extending the existing network operated by the state-owned electricity company PT PLN (Persero) to neighbouring communities that remain without electricity access.
