Indonesia plans 39 new airports to strengthen air connectivity
Jakarta, July 2 -- Indonesia plans to build 39 new airports across the country to expand its aviation network, improve connectivity between regions and support more balanced economic development. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation under the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, the plan will increase the country's airport network to 296 airports, up from the current 257 operational airports.
