Jakarta, March 2 -- Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the escalating conflict in the Middle East has disrupted global oil supplies and driven up energy prices worldwide, impacting Indonesia's economy. As reported by the country's national news agency Antara, Hartarto said the government has anticipated potential supply disruptions by securing import sources from outside the Middle East. He noted that this step includes a memorandum of understanding signed between state energy firm PT Pertamina (Persero) and several US oil and gas companies.
