Hanoi, Sept. 24 -- Greece wants to recruit more workers from ASEAN countries, including Vietnam, as it seeks to address labour shortages and support economic growth, said Greek Minister of Labour and Social Security Niki Kerameus.

The minister made the remarks during a meeting on September 23 with Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Pham Thi Thu Huong and the ambassadors of Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia to discuss labour cooperation.

Briefing the ASEAN ambassadors on Greece's labour market, Kerameus said the country's unemployment rate has fallen to around 8%, the lowest level in a decade.
