Gia Lai, July 9 -- The central province of Gia Lai is intensifying efforts to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, with border guard forces stepping up awareness campaigns, inspections and patrols while strictly enforcing regulations to prevent violations and improve fishermen's compliance.

Along its coastline, border guard units have strengthened controls at fishing ports and sea routes while coordinating with local authorities to ensure fishing vessels fully comply with regulations before leaving port.
