Hanoi, Sept. 30 -- The appellate trial of former Health Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Tien and nine other defendants in a case involving the second facilities of Bach Mai and Viet Duc hospitals was adjourned on September 30 after the defendants asked for more time to provide additional money to remedy the consequences of the case.

The Supreme People's Court's appellate panel had been scheduled to deliver its verdict that afternoon. However, before the verdict, defence lawyers and defendants asked the panel to postpone the hearing to allow them more time to prepare additional payments.
