Hanoi, Oct. 5 -- The 500-day campaign to search for, recover and identify the remains of fallen soldiers is being stepped up nationwide, with authorities working simultaneously to verify information from residents and wartime records, locate and recover remains, collect biological samples and accelerate DNA testing to return names and identities to those who sacrificed their lives for the country. Information provided by local residents in Son La province helped authorities find the remains of two fallen soldiers after four days of searching.
