New York, May 24 -- The 11th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT RevCon 11) officially concluded at the United Nations headquarters in New York on May 23 after four weeks of deliberations. The closing session was attended by UN Under-Secretary-General and High Representative for Disarmament Affairs Izumi Nakamitsu, representatives from the 191 member states of the NPT, and delegates from numerous international organisations.
