New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- Khadim Batti, co-founder and chief executive officer of Bengaluru-based enterprise software company Whatfix, died on Tuesday at the age of around 50.
Batti, who co-founded the company with Vara Kumar Namburu, reportedly died following a cardiac arrest.
Batti began his career at CMC Ltd, where he worked as a customer support engineer, before moving to Huawei Technologies in 2000. He spent nearly eight years at Huawei across project management and delivery roles, including as delivery head for Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions at its Central Research Division. He later co-founded SearchEnabler, a SaaS-based search engine optimisation platform for small and medium-sized businesses, in 2010.
Batti co-founded Whatfix in 2013 and served as its chief executive since then. The company provides a digital adoption platform designed to help enterprises accelerate adoption of software products and improve employee productivity. He remained at the helm for more than 13 years.
Whatfix has grown into a global enterprise software company under Batti's leadership. It serves more than 700 enterprises. Its platform provides in-app guidance and support to help employees adopt and use enterprise applications more effectively.
The firm raised $138.8 million across these four rounds from Stellaris Venture Partners, Eight Roads Ventures, Cisco Investments, F-Prime Capital, Sequoia Capital India, SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Dragoneer Investment Group.
Whatfix has also expanded its product portfolio through acquisitions. In 2019, it acquired Airim, an AI-powered personalisation engine, while in 2021 it acquired learning management system provider Nittio Learn in a cash and equity transaction.
