New Delhi, May 28 -- Circulus Capital by Stride, which is part of the larger Stride Group and focuses on multi-stage equity investments targeted at accelerating industrial decarbonisation and supply-chain resilience, has named a new partner, VCCircle has learned.

The investment platform--which backs frontier innovation, strategic autonomy, and disruptive technologies across the energy transition and circular economy value chains-- has appointed Karan Mehta as the new partner.

At Circulus, Mehta will be leading the Circularity and Decarbonisation Fund. "The opportunity to work at the intersection of circularity and decarbonisation - two critical levers in the transition to a sustainable economy - felt like the right next step," he said.

Prior to joining Circulus Capital, Mehta was the investment director at climate-focussed venture capital firm Green Frontier Capital (GFC). He had joined GFC in April 2023 as principal and was promoted to the role of investment director in February this year.

Before Green Frontier Capital, Mehta spent nearly eight years at responsAbility Investments AG, where he led debt investments in sustainable agriculture across South and Southeast Asia and the Middle East. He also oversaw restructuring of stressed investments across markets including India, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE.

Earlier in his career, he worked at Allegro Corporate Finance Advisors and Northern Trust.

Part of the larger Stride Group, Circulus Capital operates as a Category II alternative investment fund (AIF) focused on supporting industrial sustainability and clean manufacturing ecosystems.

The platform invests across sectors linked to industrial decarbonisation, advanced materials, energy transition and resource-efficient manufacturing.

Mehta said the urgency around climate-linked industrial transformation continues to rise globally and added that the firm aims to support founders developing scalable technologies with both sustainability and commercial impact.
