New Delhi, July 27 -- Agritech-focussed venture capital firm Omnivore Capital Management Advisors and industrialist Narotam Sekhsaria's family office have topped up their investment in a direct-to-consumer brand in a fundraising round that also saw participation from a large retail brand, VCCircle has learnt.
The two investment firms, along with south-based dairy retailer Dodla Dairy and a few individual investors, have doubled down on their investment in organic dairy brand Sid's Farm Pvt Ltd, a person close to the development told VCCircle.
Today, the Hyderabad-based retail milk brand Dodla Dairy announced through an exchange filing that it has picked up a 2% stake in Sid's Farm for around Rs 11.6 crore (around $1.2 million) at a share price of Rs 4,203.
Meanwhile, VCCircle also learnt that Omnivore Capital and the family office invested around Rs 60 crore (around $6.3 million) in the dairy brand about a month ago, along with Hyderabad-based individual investors who pumped in another Rs 7.5 crore in a close-to $10 million capital-raising round.
Last year in January, VCCircle reported that Omnivore Capital and the industrialist's family office might top up their bets in Sid's Farm. The firms had first invested in the organic dairy brand in 2024, when they led a $10 million (about Rs 85 crore) funding round.
Sid's Farm supplies chemical- and preservative-free milk and milk products to about 50,000 households in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune and Vijaywada. It also supplies ghee and paneer to 20 cities through quick commerce platforms.
In an interaction with VCCircle last year, founder and chief executive officer Kishore Indukuri said the firm was looking to expand its services to Mumbai as well.
The person quoted earlier in the article said that Sid's Farm is looking to gain retail market expertise from Dodla Dairy to deepen its presence in existing markets.
"A large part of the focus will also be on building new product lines along with the existing traditional base that can ride on the existing network of customers that Sid's Farm has," the person added.
As per the notice filed with the exchange, the D2C organic dairy brand earned Rs 240 crores in revenues in 2025-26, registering a 34% year-on-year increase. Back-of-the-envelope calculations show that Dodla Dairy's investment valued Sid's Farm at 2.3x its revenues, or at around Rs 550 crore.
The firm's earnings before interest, depreciation, tax and amortisation widened to Rs 50 crore in FY26 from Rs 21 crore in FY25, driven by marketing costs, the person quoted earlier said.
Sid's Farm operates like a milk co-operative, wherein around 5,000 farmers supply milk that is tested and packaged before being delivered to customers.
Omnivore, Narotam Sekhsaria and Sid's Farm did not reply to queries sent by VCCircle.
