New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Actis's bid to sell its renewable energy platform, BluPine, has attracted interest from private equity and strategic firms, meanwhile Bachatt, NexEdge and TransBnk are in various stages of discussions to raise funding, according to separate media reports.
BluPine
Actis is exploring the sale of its renewable energy platform, BluPine, at a projected valuation of $1.5-2 billion (around Rs 14,368-19,157 crore). Major private equity and strategic investors, including KKR, National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF) and Blackstone, have expressed interest and are evaluating the asset. Other potential bidders in the fray include Macquarie, RPSG Group, Torrent Power and Apraava Energy.
According to a Mint report, binding bids for the Gurugram-based firm are expected within the next 10-12 days. While ISquared Capital is exploring an investment through its Hexa platform, Inox Clean Energy is also actively reviewing the deal. Launched by Actis in 2022 and led by Neerav Nanavaty, BluPine targets a 4 GW capacity across solar, wind and storage projects. The platform serves both government and commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors. It previously expanded its footprint by acquiring a 404MW solar portfolio to support India's clean energy transition.
Bachatt
Micro-investing platform Bachatt is in advanced stages to raise approximately $30 million (Rs 287 crore) in a new funding round. Northpoint Capital is expected to lead the round with $12-15 million, while Prosus is slated to contribute $10-12 million. Existing backers including Lightspeed, Accel and Info Edge Ventures are also likely to participate.
Moneycontrol reports that the company's valuation is expected to reach $120-150 million (around Rs 1,150-1,430 crore), a significant increase from its previous $50 million valuation. This move follows a period where Prosus sought micro-savings exposure, having previously considered a deal with gold savings app Jar in April 2025 that ultimately fell through.
The platform specifically caters to lower-income consumers through micro-savings solutions. This capital infusion reflects a broader trend of investor interest in the sector. The deal represents a major scale-up for the platform as it solidifies its position in the fintech market.
NexEdge
Wealth management startup NexEdge is currently negotiating a fresh funding round of approximately $25 million (around Rs 239 crore). The round is expected to be led by Elev8 Venture Partners and Mirae Asset Ventures. Moneycontrol quoted sources as saying that the Delhi-based firm is being valued between $220 million and $250 million during these ongoing discussions.
The company was founded in March 2025 by Anirudha Taparia, a former co-founder and joint CEO of 360 One WAM. Taparia, who also spent a decade at Citibank, launched the venture to serve ultra-high-net worth individuals.
NexEdge represents the opposite end of the market compared to mass market platforms, focussing on the elite wealth segment. Despite its recent launch, it has quickly attracted strong interest from institutional investors. The firm operates out of Delhi and continues to build its leadership team and market presence.
TransBnk
Banking infrastructure startup TBX (formerly TransBnk) is in talks to raise roughly $35 million (around Rs 335 crore). The round is expected to include participation from Unbound, the investment arm of Shravin Bharti Mittal. Moneycontrol reports that the investment bank O3 Capital is currently managing the mandate for this fundraise.
The startup's valuation is projected to hit $400 million (Rs 3,800 crore), marking a fourfold increase from its $100 million valuation in August 2025. TBX was founded in 2022 by Vaibhav Tambe, Lavin Kotian, Pulak Jain and Sachin Gupta. The final size of the round may fluctuate as negotiations are finalised.
TBX specialises in building the corporate banking and payments infrastructure layer. It is part of a growing wave of companies attracting capital by focussing on the underlying technology for financial institutions. The significant valuation jump reflects the rapid adoption of its infrastructure services.
