New Delhi, July 14 -- Indira IVF, India's largest fertility chain operator, has appointed the former chief executive officer of Verlinvest-backed Ferty9 Fertility Center to lead the company's growth and consolidation.

Indira IVF, which is backed by Swedish private equity firm EQT, has pursued an acquisition-led expansion strategy in recent years to strengthen its presence across India.

The fertility care provider has named Vinesh Gadhia as CEO of its M&A platform, according to a social media post.

Indira IVF is led by whole-time director and CEO Kshitiz Murdia, while Shashank Gupta serves as M&A chief. Gadhia will be running a separate M&A platform, VCCircle has learnt. Gadhia and Gupta will both report to Murdia.

"We are confident that his (Gadhia's) leadership and strategic vision will be instrumental in driving Indira IVF's continued growth and consolidation as we work toward strengthening our position as India's leading fertility care network," the company said in the social media post.

Gadhia brings over 33 years of experience in the fertility healthcare space, building and scaling IVF businesses. After Verlinvest acquired a controlling stake in Ferty9 in 2023, the company named Gadhia as its CEO.

Before his three-year stint at the Andhra Pradesh- and Telangana-focussed fertility chain, Gadhia served as CEO of ART Fertility Centre for two years. He also served as senior vice president and head of Lupin's IVF business for eight months.

Indira IVF has expanded through several acquisitions. In September 2025, the Mumbai-based company acquired Puducherry-based reproductive healthcare chain Srishti Hospital to expand its presence in southern India. In April this year, it acquired Kolkata-based IVF and gynaecology network Abha Surgy Healthcare Pvt Ltd.

Separately, Sukesh Chandra Gain has joined Ferty9 as chief executive officer, succeeding Gadhia, according to his social media post.

Gain joins Ferty9 after nearly three years at Birla IVF & Fertility, where he was most recently chief business officer. He has also worked at NephroPlus for nearly five years, last serving as senior vice president and P&L head for its international business across Southeast Asia, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
