India, Aug. 30 -- On 29 May 2026, the government announced the involvement of the defence forces to manage logistics and transportation for the NEET-UG 2026 re-test. This measure followed the cancellation of the original examination after an alleged question paper leak. A high level meeting was held at the residence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and attended by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and officers from the Indian Air Force (IAF). According to officials, a proposal had been prepared to deploy the IAF to provide transportation and logistics support to securely move question papers from printing presses to examination centres across the country.
