India, Aug. 25 -- The Indian Coast Guard, on 9 May 2026, marked a significant capability enhancement with the commissioning of Indian Coast Guard Ship Achal, new generation Adamya class Fast Patrol Vessel series, at Goa Shipyard Limited. The ship is armed with a 30 mm CRN-91 gun and two 12.7 mm stabilised remote controlled guns, supported by advanced target acquisition and fire control systems.
