Attack on Camel's Back
India, Aug. 30 -- Because of precise artillery barrage, the Chinese sustained high fatalities at Table Top. They did not attack until the afternoon of 19 November, but they kept firing artillery, to which our tanks and guns responded fiercely, but due to the absence of the OP party, the fire wasn't precise. Around 2030 hours, the Camel's Back was attacked from two prongs, one from the Table Top, a former Gorkha position, and the other from the Spanggur Gap. The Chinese intensified their two pronged onslaught on our platoon position, making it impossible for our troops to resist against them; the enemy overran our position at the Camel's Back in less than an hour. The enemy suffered huge casualties, but the Gorkhas also suffered 26 casualtie...
