REASI, June 27 -- In a swift inter-state operation, Reasi Police on Thursday apprehended a couple wanted in a murder case in Uttarakhand. The duo was traced to a hotel in Katra and later handed over to Uttarakhand Police for further legal action.

A Police officer told GNS that the Katra Police Station received inputs from Police Station Dhanya, District Almora, Uttarakhand, that Dharambir, a resident of Sheikhpur, Hisar, Haryana, and his wife Jhanki Devi were absconding after allegedly committing a murder at their native place on June 20, 2026. The tip-off indicated the accused were hiding in Katra.
