Free public transport travel approved for differently-abled persons in J&K
SRINAGAR, Sept. 16 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday sanctioned free travel for differently-abled persons on public transport, fulfilling a key Budget announcement made in March this year.
The Office of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said in a post on X, as per KNO, said the facility will cover Jammu and Kashmir Road Transport Corporation (JKRTC) services, as well as e-buses operated by Jammu Smart City Limited and Srinagar Smart City Limited.
"Fulfilling a key Budget announcement made in March this year, the Government has sanctioned free ridership for differently-abled persons in public transport," the Office of the Chief Minister said in the post.
