EOW Kashmir chargesheets four in 2.5 crore shawl fraud case
, July 23 -- SRINAGAR: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir on Thursday said it has chargesheeted four accused in an alleged Rs 2.5 crore shawl fraud case, accusing them of cheating a trader by obtaining shawls on the promise of profitable returns and failing to make payment.
In a statement issued to KNO, a spokesperson said the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) Kashmir of Crime Branch J&K has filed a charge-sheet in FIR No. 55/2022 under Sections 420, 120-B and 201 RPC before the Court of Sub Judge Small Causes, Srinagar, against four accused for their alleged involvement in the case.
