WSSU NAMES BOMANI H. SPELL ASSOCIATE PROVOST, VICE CHANCELLOR FOR STUDENT DEVELOPMENT AND ENGAGEMENT

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., Aug. 10 -- Winston-Salem State University issued the following news release:

Winston-Salem State University has named Dr. Bomani H. Spell, an accomplishedhigher education leader with extensive experiencedeveloping student-centeredprograms at HBCUs, as its new associate provost andvice chancellor for studentdevelopment andengagement.

Spell, former associate vice president for student affairs anddean of students at Florida Agricultural andMechanical University, assumedhis role at WSSU on Aug. 3. He previously workedat Jarvis Christian University (formerly Jarvis Christian College), Tuskegee University and Westminster College.
