WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio, Aug. 20 -- The U.S. Air Force Wright-Patterson Air Force Base issued the following news release:
The U.S. Air Force announced that 115 Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Airmen have been selected to join the ranks of noncommissioned officers by their promotion to staff sergeant. A release party celebrating the selectees was held at the Hope Hotel on August 14, 2026.
"I stand up here just awestruck and impressed by the amazing professionals we get to work with every day," Col. Jason Okumura, 88th Air Base Wing and installation commander, told the gathering of selectees, their family, friends and supervisors.
