Yesterday, U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Ron Johnson (R-WI) sent the names of two candidates to President Donald Trump for consideration to serve as U.S. Attorneys for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. The candidates, Peter J. Smyczek for the Eastern District and Chadwick M. Elgersma for the Western District, were recommended to the Senators by the bipartisan Wisconsin Federal Nominating Commission that was established to provide recommendations for nominations during the 119th Congress for federal judicial positions and United States Attorneys.
