Western Nevada College has recognized two longtime faculty members for their enduring
contributions to students and the institution by awarding emeritus status to Professor of English Claire McCully and Professor of Philosophy and College Success Susan Priest.
Emeritus status is among the highest distinctions the college bestows upon retired
employees and honors individuals whose service, leadership and dedication have made
a lasting impact on Western Nevada College and the rural communities it serves.
Together, McCully and Priest devoted decades to educating, mentoring and inspiring
