Today, during a Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee hearing, Senator Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) questioned Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Acting Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Russell Vought on his actions gutting critical support for service members and letting companies off the hook for ripping off veterans.

Senator Gallego grilled Vought about his decision to cancel the CFPB's 2024 order requiring Navy Federal Credit Union to pay over $95 million for its illegal use of surprise overdraft fees - a payment Navy Federal had already agreed to make.
