Today, U.S. Sens. Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine (both D-VA) announced $3 million in grant funding to support major upgrades (https://www.co.campbell.va.us/CivicSend/ViewMessage/message/283564) to the Town of Altavista's wastewater treatment plant. The funding will improve the plant's operational reliability, lower energy usage and the associated costs, enhance treatment capabilities, and improve system resiliency to extend the useful life of critical infrastructure. The project will also create 273 jobs.
