Congressman James R. Walkinshaw (VA-11) today introduced a War Powers Resolution to end President Trump's war of choice in Iran, a conflict launched without congressional authorization.
The resolution directs the President to remove U.S. Armed Forces from hostilities against Iran unless Congress explicitly authorizes continued military action through a declaration of war or a specific authorization for the use of military force. It preserves the ability of U.S. forces to defend the United States, an ally, or a partner from imminent attack.
