BLACKSBURG, Va., April 14 -- Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University issued the following news release:

After thoughtful discussion to seek a balance between access and affordability to the students and families who must bear the cost with preserving the quality of a Virginia Tech degree and investing in world-class faculty and campus programs, the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors approved a 2.9 percent increase in tuition for resident and non-resident undergraduate students for the 2026-27 academic year.

For 10 consecutive years, Virginia Tech has held tuition increases below the rate of inflation.
