Thursday, U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), a member of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies, questioned U.S. Forest Service (USFS) Chief Tom Schultz during a subcommittee hearing regarding the proposed closure of the USFS Baltimore Urban Field Station, who maintained that the facility's research and staff will remain in the Baltimore area.
