Today, U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee and Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD), and Senator Angela Alsobrooks, a member of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (both D-Md.) announced $69,498,878 in direct federal funding for 46 community-led projects throughout Maryland within the fiscal year 2026 THUD appropriations bill - which was enacted into law as part of a 5-bill government funding package passed by Congress and signed into law in February.
