LARAMIE, Wyo., May 15 -- The University of Wyoming issued the following news release:
Fifteen University of Wyoming students participated in the annual Wyoming Pi Days
event hosted by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.
There were three evening sessions where students ate pizza, worked on fun mathematics
problems and learned new problem-solving strategies. The event culminated in the Pi
Days competition April 11, where students took an exam. All students who participated
received T-shirts and puzzles.
Two winners were selected based on their outstanding submissions on the exam: Husanpreet
Singh, who's from Tarn Taran, India, majoring in astronomy and astrophysics, with
