ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,676,068, issued on July 7, was assigned to Zoox Inc. (Foster City, Calif.).

"System for sparsely representing and storing geographic and map data" was invented by Derek Adams (Pasadena, Calif.), Michael Carsten Bosse (Templeton, Calif.), Elena Stephanie Stumm (Berkeley, Calif.) and Veeresh Taranalli (San Jose, Calif.).
