US Patent Issued to Yeda Research and Development on July 14 for "Media for culturing naive human pluripotent stem cells" (Israeli Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 14 -- United States Patent no. 12,680,083, issued on July 14, was assigned to Yeda Research and Development Co. Ltd. (Rehovot, Israel).

"Media for culturing naive human pluripotent stem cells" was invented by Yaqub Hanna (Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel), Noa Novershtern (Rehovot, Israel) and Yoach Rais (Rehovot, Israel).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A culture medium is disclosed which comprises STAT3 activator, an ERK1/2 inhibitor and an Axin stabilizer, and optionally also a PKC inhibitor. Cell cultures comprising same and uses thereof are also disclosed."

The patent was filed on Feb. 6, 2024, under Application No. 18/433,553.
