ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,740,862, issued on Sept. 22, was assigned to Xeltis AG (Zurich).

"Medical device using bioabsorbable material" was invented by Youssef Biadillah (Geneva) and Martijn Antonius Johannes Cox (Budel, Netherlands).
