ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 1 -- United States Patent no. 12,722,728, issued on Sept. 1, was assigned to Winnebago Industries Inc. (Eden Prairie, Minn.).

"Door designs for recreational vehicles" was invented by Stephen Bender (Mason City, Iowa).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A recreational vehicle includes a body with an entryway to an interior of the recreational vehicle. A first door is coupled to the body via a first hinge and rotatable around a horizontal axis. A second door is coupled to the body via a second hinge and rotatable around a vertical axis."
