ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,606,677, issued on April 21, was assigned to Wilmar Trading Pte. Ltd. (Singapore).
"Segmented silicone polymers and methods of making and using the same" was invented by Paul A. Bertin (Western Springs, Ill.) and Charles Coburn (Vernon Hills, Ill.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Segmented silicone polymers incorporating segments formed from medium-chain fatty acids are generally disclosed herein. Methods of using such compounds, for example, as surfactants, are also disclosed herein, as well as methods of making such compounds, for example, from medium-chain fatty acids derived from natural oils."
