ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,584,103, issued on March 24, was assigned to WILLIAM MARSH RICE UNIVERSITY (Houston).

"Hypothermic 3D bioprinting of living tissues supported by perfusable vasculature" was invented by Jordan Miller (Houston), Anderson Ta (Houston) and Bagrat Grigoryan (Spring, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides compositions and methods for producing hydrogel matrix constructs. Methods of using hydrogel matrix constructs for tissue repair and regeneration and for the oxygenation of red blood cells are also disclosed."

The patent was filed on May 3, 2024, under Application No. 18/654,976.
