US Patent Issued to Whirlpool on June 16 for "Adaptive chimney duct" (Indian, Polish, Italian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,655,994, issued on June 16, was assigned to Whirlpool Corp. (Benton Harbor, Mich.).

"Adaptive chimney duct" was invented by Lingaraj I. Bandiwad (Savanur, India), Jakub Buczkowski (Kielczow, Poland), Ashish Sharadrao Kadam (Maharashtra, India) and Luca Zilio (Biandronno, Italy).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A cooking appliance that includes a body. A cavity housing is disposed in the body and defines a cooking cavity. A self-adjusting chimney duct assembly is disposed in a space defined between the body and the cavity housing. The chimney duct assembly includes a chimney base.
