ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. PP37,349, issued on March 31, was assigned to Walters Gardens Inc (Zeeland, Mich.).
"Nepeta plant named 'Catwalk Queen'" was invented by Hans A. Hansen (Zeeland, Mich.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The new and distinct hardy perennial plant, Nepeta 'Catwalk Queen', has rounded, very short and compact habit with mostly upright stems. The foliage is small, serrate and fragrant. Large flowers are a periwinkle blue with persistent rosy calyces. The new plant reblooms heavily if trimmed after initial flowering."
The patent was filed on Oct. 14, 2025, under Application No. 18/831,869.
