According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct Hemerocallis plant named 'Rule of Plum' characterized by winter-hardy compact habit with clean medium-green foliage that goes dormant in the winter. The flowers are single, rounded, lightly fragrant, deep purple with a yellow-green throat. Inner tepals are reflexed with slightly crisped margins. The new plant flowers on stems up to 57 cm tall with four-way branching beginning about mid-July."
