According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The new and distinct cultivar of Echinacea plant named 'Knock 'em Red' with fragrant inflorescences on strong well-branched stems above dark green foliage. The inflorescences produce single whorls of long, broad, overlapping, mostly-horizontal, lightly sweet, bright crimson ray florets that change with maturity to more reddish and then mauve before dehiscing.
