US Patent Issued to Wacker Chemie on June 30 for "Foam control composition" (Michigan Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,758, issued on June 30, was assigned to Wacker Chemie AG (Munich).

"Foam control composition" was invented by John Young (Saline, Mich.), Hagit Levin (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Tianyue Zheng (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A foam control composition includes a component (A) and a component (B). Component (A) includes units of the formula [SiO4/2]a[(R1O)SiO3/2]b[(R2O)SiO3/2]b'[(R1O)2SiO2/2]c[(R1O)(R2O)SiO2/2]c'[(R2O)2SiO2/2]c"[(R1O)3SiO1/2]d[(R1O)2(R2O)SiO1/2]d'[(R1O)(R2O)2SiO1/2]d"[(R2O)3SiO1/2]d'". Component (B) comprises a filler."

The patent was filed on April 12, 2021, under Application No. 18/286,376.
