US Patent Issued to Viridis BioDefense on April 21 for "Safe pyrolytic extraction of disinfecting agents from oils" (Washington, South Carolina, Idaho Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,604,905, issued on April 21, was assigned to Viridis BioDefense LLC (Dexter, Mo.).

"Safe pyrolytic extraction of disinfecting agents from oils" was invented by Stephen Agnew (Richland, Wash.), Robert Michael Hust (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho) and William Gene Ramsey (Warrenville, S.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are methods for producing multiple disinfecting agents from oils and reactors for producing multiple disinfecting agents from oils."

The patent was filed on Nov. 18, 2021, under Application No. 17/455,526.
